Post #1 - Packing Up

Here we go again!  This summer we are going to the Oregon Coast Trail to do 6 days of backpacking with the kids.  Here is the rough plan:

• Two days of driving to get to Coos Bay (where my great aunt used to live)
• Three days of hiking from Bandon to Port Orford (90% walking on the beach)
• Rest day in Lincoln City
• Three days of hiking from Cape Lookout State Park to Lincoln City (60% walking on the beach)
• Three nights in Portland - one day trip to Mt. St-Helens while we are there
• Three nights in Seattle - no plan yet
• One long day of driving home

As with the last two summers we will try to post once a day when we have service or Wifi.  Follow if you like, ignore if you don't.  Hopefully we are able to share some beautiful pictures and fun stories with you!
